Pieces

Small Spiral Notebook, one of my favorite on-line journals even before they took my story, has published “Pieces”, a story I wrote about a year ago and have been shopping around since January of last year.

I’m not sure what paper-based editors are like to work with, but I was very pleased to work with Felicia C. Sullivan, the editor of Small Spiral Notebook, to get this story in order. She treated me and the story with great respect, and the changes she recommended helped make it much better than the piece I originally sent her.

The quality of this issue is very high, despite the inclusion of my story; take a look in particular at the harrowing Thief by Debra Anne Davis, a very powerful essay.
