Some Pictures I’ve Liked volume 6

• Drive by Robert Frank. This is another photographer I’ve found through mention by Flickr contacts; Robert Frank travelled Route 66 to capture the footloose bleakness of the road, and Jack Kerouac wrote the introduction to the collection; what’s better than that?
• LV-LAX from EXP; a juxtaposition that works nicely.
• Du coin de l’oeil from SAKANA; beautiful bokeh.
• Wheatgrass and Cactus from Lumilux; the extremely shallow depth of field makes the cactus in the background a mystery indeed
• You from Big Happy Funhouse: this is just an incredibly sweet little picture (pack of Pall Malls and all); the gent looks a bit like my father did in the early ’60s (de riguer buzz cut), and they just look incredibly happy and innocent. Sigh.
• Comfort from Big Happy Funhouse again; I can’t decide if this is sweet or creepy; the ambiguity haunts me…
• jakiÅ› niewyraźny ten goÅ‚Ä…b from suseu; this picture conveys an incredible sense of movement. The translation service at PolTran.com spits back “Some (certain) indefinite this pigeon” for the title; I like that.
• glide from outafocus; wow. Artist Susan B. mentions Keith Carter in her post, a photographer whose work I discovered earlier this month and mentioned in last week’s pictures I’ve liked list; at least this confirms that my taste is OK. If you like that kind of blurry, dreamy, moody photography, at least.
