Some Pictures I’ve Liked volume 11
An even ten this week (there were a couple more, but a few permalinks didn’t work–permalinks/liens permanent are a handy thing, fellow photobloggers, for helping spread the word on your work…). Shadows, I think, are a dominant theme in what caught my eye.
- Margaree: Photos of Cape Breton by George C. Thomas: a fascinating series of black and white photos of Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, in the 1970s, but they could as well have been taken in the 1930s, or 1880s.
- for Zsolt from randyman; a simple piece of origami made poignant as a memorial for an artist.
- lifecycle from life in mono; a simple pairing of leaves and butterflies.
- Angel & Sarcophagus’ from DMB Photoblog; a breathtaking use of black and white.
- Stacks from toby’s pics; I love the shadows and shapes.
- Every tree can tell a story from netzkuessen.de; stark and spare.
- Found a Valentine from Haphazardous; someone [heart]s Charlene alright.
- Snow Angel from (bea); this shows how the reversed-lens Brownie should be used.
- The Time Traveller’s Wife from londrubbish; evotactive indeed of the best book I read last year.
- army of me from eterisk.org: wow; shadows.
