Some Pictures I’ve Liked volume 20
13 fabulous shots this week:
- Espresso from shifted*exposure; it just looks sooo creamy…
- Viimeinen lehti from luotokuva; so still and peaceful.
- Little Buds from TWBexposed; gotta love blossoms and bokeh.
- Time of Incubation from Daily Walks; incredible texture.
- Colores de invierno from 350D; a bit like luotokuva’s (is there some meme in the air floating between Finland and Argentina?), but I like the more dramatic lighting.
- None of the above from Photogeny; sensible shoes on cobblestones.
- blossoms from Million Year Picnic; more evidence of free-floating international memes, this one hovering between Japan and Colorado.
- bilateral from digitalpeace; more glorious texture and great lighting.
- If I could just reach and the sign from hmmm…; two very dramatic images of the village of Pripyat, abanadoned twenty years ago in the wake of the Chernobyl disaster. Like Mr. Cuthbert, I’m troubled by the graffiti that has infested the ruins of the Chernobyl villages, though the silhouettes do at least seem like appropriate ghosts.
- untitled from Takaaki Okada; I don’t know why this makes me think of Two, the Twilight Zone episode with Elizabeth Montgomery and Charles Bronson as the sole survivors of a world war, but there’s something post-apocalyptic about it.
- aquà sÃ, aquà no from fijaciones; wonderful DOF control and sunny colors.
- untitled from Jinky Art; wonderful silhouetting with a colorful umbrella.
- when…? from outafocus; so dreamy.
