Opie Pond

This is really more of a runoff catch than an actual pond, responsible for taking in the water that runs off the parking lot where I work, but it’s a nice enough spot in the ‘burbs all the same.

I’m on auto-pilot for a couple days, while we take a camping trip to Savanna Portage State Park. This will involve cooking chili, making s’mores, paddling around in a canoe, and sitting up late reading ghost stories by the fire after everyone else has gone to sleep. After the couple weeks I’ve had at work, I need a little time in the woods; I may not be back, but if I do return I’ll certainly respond to your comments in a few days.
