Some Pictures I’ve Liked volume 28
A nice set of pictures that stuck with me on my travels this week:
- Windmills Espied from Smallest Photo; the vignetting gives this a mysterious, almost menacing atmosphere.
- Polaroid from Wood | Stone; I’m a sucker for clothespin pictures, but this one–a clothespin pictures picture–really takes the cake.
- Arches from Haphazardous; a fairy-tale scene indeed.
- Bridge from BOXMAN; classically elegant.
- 6 Train ~ Union Square-14th Street from Express Train; oh, I know that weary look…
- Tide of Colours from Oh Cameras are Macho; who doesn’t love laundromats? I can smell the dryer lint and fabric softener…
- Untitled from photoloukey; the colors and shape give this a three-dimensional feel.
- Abbesses, Clara, fleurs, maquillage, papillon, tatouage from Kea; a fairy among the flowers.
- Plinks from (Bea); I love the magical texture of the old watering can and the light at the edge of the frame.
- On Pen Hill from michael lynch; something about the lonely tree makes this disquieting despite the rich blue sky and lush grass.
- corner from Pulpo; a film noir still.
- serious thoughts from Digital Peace; the lighting makes this portrait soulful and expressive.
