Some Pictures I’ve Liked volume 33
It’s been approaching 100 degrees here this week (incredibly hot for Minnesota), and I’ve had a heck of a week at work (the system that I’ve been diligently programming for 3+ years finally went live, though there has been precious little noise about it–both a curse and a blessing, meaning all has gone well so far but that no one seems to have noticed all the big cool stuff behind the scenes). So that’s my excuse for a truncated but primo selection this week–a half-dozen lovely pictures to whisk you away to someplace else.
- green skirt from sguardo; I like the movement of the raised foot, and the almost-oil-paint feel to those rounded stairs.
- Backyard Frog from (Bea); charming and whimsical.
- Bermuda from Markus Hartel; would that we could all be so self-possessed and calm; this fellow appears to be already on vacation…
- Lost from Hello; a melancholy but beautiful scene.
- As We Kiss Oblivion from Diary of a Superfluous Man; more things left behind.
- Welcome, Back to the Circus from 3 a.m. from Kyoto; deliciously creepy–when Tim Burton and Johnny Depp get around to a film version of Something Wicked This Way Comes (the last one had Jason Robards but little else to recommend it), this ought to be the poster.
