Some Pictures I’ve Liked volume 42
Fourteen to think about this week:
- Cavern Wall from Photo Play; the red and blue complement each other wonderfully.
- Bezet from Londonrubbish; the deep shadows, and the contrast between the white paint and the gray stone, gives this an eerie feeling.
- En promenade place du docteur Lobligeois from Pariscool; flocks of kindergarteners look the same the wide world over.
- Angels in Waiting from Out of Contxt; heavenly.
- Madagascar ritratto con carote from photo-effe.com; wonderful colors and textures.
- A Mountain of Wheels from a view from the 6oh lens; I love the line of wheels coming down from the top, and the texture of the clouds.
- Glisten from gallery(bea); I love the delicacy of the web, and the spider’s classic silhouette.
- Mike Horney, Tribute to Frank Sinatra, Kewanna Fall Festival from Fourteen Places to Eat; he looks nothing like the Chairman of the Board, but his enthusiasm negates any accusation of the cheesiness.
- creative scanning from the streets are alive; like a watercolor painting.
- Disciple from Hungaro; an incredible and understated portrait.
- Run Jeanny, Run …! from PHOTOBLOGKU; color!
- Morning row on the Mississippi from Sopheava de Lumiére; a beautiful morning on the upper Mississippi (that’s the Witch’s Hat tower in the background, an architectural landmark Peter has chosen for his own).
- Raking Alfalfa from A Walk Through Durham Township; the blue bowl of the sky.
- The Old Farmall 300 in the Dinosaur Shed from A Walk Through Durham Township; textures and light and shadow.
