I suppose that Lock and Dam #1 on the upper Mississippi isn’t quite the Grand Coulee Dam of which Woody Guthrie sang, but it’s still a pretty impressive spot to visit. On the 4th of July, we spent the morning roaming the locks, watching boats going through and the water racing over the dam, while I tested out the “new” Bolsey.
